The Wellbeing Community Grants programme consists of several grants that Cornwall Council and NHS Kernow have commissioned CRCC to manage on their behalf.

Wellbeing community grants support individuals, groups and peer support group networks in Cornwall.

Individuals

Covid Winter Grants Scheme

The Covid Winter Grant Scheme administered by Kernow Carers Service is designed to support carers at risk of financial hardship leading to carer breakdown.   KCS will identify the most vulnerable carers and support them to be able to maintain their caring role within the context of Covid-19 lockdown self-isolation and shielding whilst also alleviating financial hardship and food poverty. 

Carers Resilience Enablement Grant

A grant to aid any unforeseen circumstance that prevents unpaid, informal carers from fulfilling their caring role and the need cannot be met from elsewhere.


Groups

Carers Groups Grant

A grant to fund unpaid, informal carers’ groups to give their members opportunities to ‘switch off’ from their caring responsibilities by taking part in group activities and events that promote their health and wellbeing. Groups can apply for up to £1000 per application.

Mental Health Support Groups Grant

For groups that provide support and self-help initiatives to people who experience poor mental health or wellbeing, to assist them to have a meaningful break from their day-to-day routines.
Groups can apply for up to £1000.

Memory Activity & Support Groups Grant

This grant can award funds to dementia support groups/ organisations and memory cafés to assist with a group’s running costs, including workshops and activities that enhance the wellbeing of people with dementia. Groups can apply for up to £1000 per year.


Peer support group networks

Memory Activity & Support Network Development Grant

A grant to assist the development and sustainability of self-support dementia groups through countywide networks.
Organisations can apply for up to £3000 per year.

Mental Health Peer Network Development Grant

A grant to assist the development and sustainability of self-support groups through countywide networks.
Organisations can apply for up to £3000 per year.
